How It Works
Four steps from first message to first session.
Check my open hours
I post weekly hours when I'm free to talk — see them on the contact page. Pick a slot that works, then send a quick note or call during one of those windows.
Pick a format
Phone or text — whichever feels easier. (No video calls. In-person isn't on the table yet.)
First 15 free
We talk. If we click, we keep going. If not, no charge.
Book a session
30 or 60 minutes, or reserve the same hour every week. Flat rate, same number, no surprises.
Questions
How is this different from therapy? +
I'm not a licensed therapist. I'm a person who's good at listening. Therapy is for diagnosed conditions and clinical care; this is for the times you just need to talk something out without paying $150 an hour and committing to a treatment plan.
What kinds of things do people talk about? +
Work stress. Relationships. Caregiving for aging parents. Loss. Big life transitions. Or nothing in particular — sometimes you just need a real conversation with someone who isn't your spouse or coworker.
How private is this? +
What you say stays between us. I don't keep notes, don't record, and don't share. I'm not a mandated reporter the way a licensed clinician would be — but I'd encourage you to call 988 or 911 if you're in crisis. This service isn't built for emergencies.
What if I run over the time? +
If we're mid-conversation and you need a few extra minutes, I won't cut you off mid-sentence. If you regularly want longer sessions, the 60-minute option is the right one.
Can I cancel? +
Yes, anytime. Sessions are pay-as-you-go — no subscriptions, no auto-renew. If you book and need to reschedule, just let me know.
Do you keep records? +
No. I don't take notes during the call and I don't write anything down after.
What formats do you offer? +
Phone or text — that's it for now. I've tried video and find it distracting, and I'm not set up for in-person yet.
When can I reach you? +
I post my open hours each week on the contact page. Pick a slot that works and call or message during that window — no random midnight rings on either side.
How do I pay? +
Through PayPal — debit card, Venmo, or Apple Pay all work. I send a payment link before the session. Free intros are free; no card on file.
Still have questions?
First 15 minutes are free — that's the answer to most of them.
